Enquiries, quotes and orders

An enquiry or quote request does not reserve a date. An order is confirmed only after we have agreed the order details, price, date, collection or delivery arrangements, and any required payment or deposit.

Please check your quote or order confirmation carefully. It should set out the agreed design, size, flavour, quantity, price, date, and collection or delivery arrangements. Contact us promptly if anything is incorrect.

Custom cakes are handmade. Colours, decorations, and final appearance may vary slightly from reference images or screen colours. We will discuss any significant changes with you.

Prices and payment

The price and payment schedule will be confirmed before your order is accepted. Any deposit or balance due, payment method, and due dates will be stated in your quote or order confirmation.

We may not begin work until the agreed deposit or payment has been received. If a payment is overdue, please contact us as soon as possible so we can discuss the order.

Changes and cancellations

Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel an order. Changes may not be possible once preparation has begun, and any change may affect the price or collection date. We will confirm any revised arrangements with you.

If you cancel, any cancellation charge or refund will be considered in light of the order, how much notice you gave, work already completed, ingredients or materials already purchased, and any costs or losses that cannot reasonably be avoided. Any amount retained will be reasonable in the circumstances and subject to your rights under applicable law. We will explain the calculation to you.

If we need to cancel an order, we will contact you and refund any amount paid for the part of the order we cannot provide, subject to applicable law.

Collection and delivery

Your order confirmation will state the agreed collection time and location, or any delivery arrangements and charges. Please collect your order at the agreed time and transport and store it as instructed. Once collected or delivered, you are responsible for keeping the cake secure and at a suitable temperature.

Please contact us promptly if you are delayed or have a problem with collection or delivery.

Allergies and dietary requirements

Please tell us about any allergies or dietary requirements before confirming your order. Our cakes are prepared in a kitchen where ingredients that may cause allergic reactions are handled. We cannot guarantee that any product is free from allergens or cross-contact. We will let you know what we can reasonably accommodate before accepting the order.

Cake stand and cake knife

A cake stand and cake knife are not included with any cake order. The client is responsible for providing a suitable cake stand and cake knife for displaying and cutting the cake.

Concerns about an order

If there is a problem with your order, please contact us as soon as possible, ideally before the cake is cut or served, and provide photos and details so we can understand what happened. This does not limit any rights you may have under applicable law.

Website content and photos

Website text and photographs are provided for general information and to show examples of our work. Designs are made to order, and a finished cake may not be identical to a photograph or reference image.

Applicable law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Nothing in these terms limits any rights that cannot legally be excluded.
